Mr. Jones has lead the design of quality Club projects in almost every state, as well as in France, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong, Nigeria, Mexico and Canada. Altogether, Mr. Jones has participated in more than 560 Clubhouse project designs, more than any architect in the world.
He has written numerous articles and presented several seminars concerning Golf Club design and development. His work has been published in Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, Crittenden's Golf Inc., Club Management and Hospitality Design, among many others. His Clubhouse designs and related projects have won numerous Architectural and design awards, including Builder Magazine's "National Community of the Year" award. Mr. Jones is considered a leading authority in Clubhouse operations and efficiency design.
Mr. Jones resides and offices at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, Texas and is active in golf, tennis, baseball, racquetball, boating, soccer, snow skiing and many other activities and hobbies. He is an active member of The Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas. The firm was founded in 1986 on faith, and the Lord has blessed our company and our staff with a consistent flow of wonderful clients and exciting projects.
S. Vic Jones, Jr. is owner and president of our firm. He was born, raised and educated in the Atlanta, Georgia area and received his Architectural degree from the STI division of Georgia Tech. Mr. Jones is a veteran of the U.S. Army where he attained honor graduate degrees from the U.S. Corps of Engineers Academy at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He was first registered and licensed to practice Architecture in Texas in 1978, and currently maintains registration in approximately 30 states.
In 1980 Mr. Jones joined the Club Corporation of America in Dallas and accepted the position of Vice President and Director of Architecture at ClubCorp. In 1986 Mr. Jones founded SVJ+ Clubhouse Architects and Interiors and continued to specialize in the design and development of Golf and Country Clubs, Sports and Fitness Clubs, Swim and Racquet Clubs, Fine Dining Facilities, Spas, Resorts and their supporting amenities.
